The Lace Museum

Class Description: In a historic setting of lace over time, learn the basics of whitework embroidery on this delicate butterfly. Two pulled stitches decorate the wings outlined with trailing. Other stitches include satin stitch, eyelets, stem stitch and seeding.
Kit Contents: even weave linen, coton a border thread, stranded cotton, needles
Equipment Needed: All materials are supplied; you may bring your own sewing kit if you like
Please note: This class will take place at The Lace Museum in Sunnyvale, CA in conjunction with the exhibition White on White: Hand stitching through time, Exploring the evolution of monochromatic needlework from early examples to work being done today.

A limited number of Scholarship seats are available in most of our classes. We use an honor system on a self-identified basis for those who cannot afford the full price. If scholarship seats are offered in the class, they will be listed as one of the options under Register.
Payment is due in full at the time of registration. If you need to cancel: Up until 3 days (72 hours) prior to the class, we will refund your tuition less a $25.00 processing fee. We do not offer refunds for classes cancelled with less than 3 day (72 hour) notice. SFSNAD will make every attempt not to cancel any classes. If we need to cancel: You are entitled to either a full refund (no processing fee), or your tuition can be used for a future class of equal value within a year of the cancelled class.
If the class is sold out, Please email us to be added to the wait list. We'll notify you right away if we have a cancellation.
Please note: on occasion it might be necessary to substitute the instructor.
